Thanks for letting us listen to your adaptation of Mance's Jack o'Diamonds, slide 496. It's got a clear, clean intro. Nice controlled tremolo with alternating base. Love the tone of your voice. And the guitar sounds like a resophonic, maybe a wooden one.

Keep sending us your music...wish my tech skills were up to speed. I'd love to share what I'm workin on and gettin some feedback.

    Doug

Thanks Doug, it's the 30's Supertone you see in the picture through an audiotech mic and the amp you see. The the whole thing is captured with a combination of a Shure MV51 and Apogee iMic.

Mance uses a combined technique in this piece, maybe others, its one I have found with other early country blues slide guitarists, subordinating the instrumental to the verse to keep the words in the right place and not chained to or drawn out by the alt bass, and then do fills with an alternating bass, so this is a combination of monotonic with alt bass.

    Thanks again for your acknowledgement!
