    Default Bassists heads-up

Bassists, you are so taken for granted. Here's a great example of the bassist (and drummer) being celebrated as equal contributors to some intense, improvisational Blues Rock.

Jim Campilongo Trio is the cat's meow. Add Nels Cline and lookout. I daresay this may be the most intense telepathy in Blues Rock...Jim changes key in the middle of "Politician" and everyone just follows right along.

BTW, that bass is a 1969 Fender Mustang short-scale. Listen patiently and you will be amazed...

Doug, this tribute to the bassists is sincerely appreciated!. I love playing my guitars, but only for myself. I have been playing bass out for the past 6 years, and have been thoroughly pleased with my role in holding things together!
