    Default New Old guy

Hey, folks. I'm 69 and have been listening to the blues since my senior year in high school. My first four blues albums back then were Best of Muddy Waters, first Paul Butterfield album, Solomon Burke's Greatest Hits (RnB rather than blues but I was learning back then) and The Blues by Lightnin' Hopkins (now called the Sitting In Sessions). I still like the old stuff best and have delved into the delta stuff from the 20s-40s over time.

My best tip for a fun trip? Visit Blues and Jazz Record Mart in Chicago. Hope to do a blues tour to Memphis and the Delta within the next couple of years as I am about to retire.

    Good to be here.

Another old guy here. Just joined. Been retired for 12 years and living in Thailand with my Thai wife. Not much blues over here. Was in the states last year and heard Samantha Fish. Plays a mean guitar.
