    Default What have I done?

I always wanted one of these...but it's pretty flashy.
I'm a little self-conscious about it, but I'm really digging it.
I put in some inexpensive pickups that get great reviews and I'm super happy with them.
New pots, switch, jack and wires make an Epi a dependable gigger.003.jpg

Glad you like your rad Epi, Charlie. I trust most Epis based on having a history with em going back to the 1960s. My brother has a new Epi Les Paul Pro and it's a great guitar.

Like you, the flash of any V-like model is a bit much for me too, but I admit to having a real liking for them and actually have been fantasizing about maybe getting one...

Congrats. There is something iconic about the V.

LOL, I've been kinda intrigued by the V lately. I would have to do the natural wood style, too.

So, what you do is get the fingerboard inlaid with "Charlie Chitlins" and then play you some Albert King! LOL

On another forum, I asked what people liked about guitar shows. On guy answered that they're the only place he can buy a Flying V without a background check.

    I'm really digging this V.
    Catching the Albert vibe!
    I love the fretboard.
They call it "blackwood" and it is crazy dark and HARD.
Looks/feels like ebony to me...pretty cool for a lower-end git.
It's hard to photograph because it reflects and looks lighter, but the little bit in the pic is close.

Now that I have a V, I can give up my search for a skull ring. It would be kind of redundant.

Good one Charlie although the skull ring may be a must have now.

Remember the music is not in the guitar
