    Default Acceptance, humility, gratitude

    Eric Clapton keeps it real:

"I mean, I'm going deaf, I've got tinnitus, my hands just about work," he said. "I mean, I'm hoping that people will come along and see me just because, or maybe more than because I'm a curiosity. It's amazing to myself that I'm still here."

He's what, 73? But he's an older 70-something, accepting so humbly the damage that amps, tobacco, alcohol and other drugs addiction did to his body. His gratitude for being here with us still is from the heart and soul of recovery. His heroism in my eyes just continues to rise and inspire.

Cheers, in the original sense of the term, mates,

    Doug
