So's got cancer. I knew he had COPD and carried oxygen. I'm not on facebook but if you're communicating with Mike, please tell him Doug's sending healing energy.

For those who don't know, Blue Willy, a long-time BluesTalk participant, is Mike Wilhelm. One of the original Charlatans of San Francisco. And he also played with The Flamin Groovies. But he started out as a Delta and Piedmont style Bluesman, and his videos are on Youtube. I'd say he's easily as good as his contemporary, John Hammond.

Thanks for the update, Doug. Our prayers and healing energies are going out to Mike.

It helps me, when I'm doing prayer work, to see at least a picture of the person for whom I am praying so I searched the web a bit and found Mike's website. Here it is for those of you who would like to see it.

Thanks, Marky. I know Mike's gettin your prayers. BTW his best (IMHO) music is on Youtube...his solos acoustic Blues from the early 1960s.

Thanks for the YouTube, Doug. That was a great performance by Mike. I'm listening to a mix right now, in the background, of his days with The Charlatans. It's excellent.
