    Default acid blues

    hello people; There's a band coming to my area soon and there described as they will "blend rock, acid blues and jazz".
    What the hell is acid blues?

    Acid blues exists in the minds of the juveniles claiming they play that -music-

    My guess is it refers to the jazz/blues organ trios and quartets of the '40s, '50s and '60s.

    Remember bands like Vanilla Fudge, Count Five,s hit Psychotic Reaction, The Cramps, though more Psycho Billy....other bands Manfred Mann, Iron Butterfly IN AGADA DAVIDA which the singer was really saying IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN but the producers muddying his drunken singing liked the use of words with NO meaning., even Steppenwolf, Deep Purple , Beatles Magical,Mystery Tour

    yes I do remember, thats why I disagree with what you said.
    There was never and never will be, any music that is 'acid'. thats just silly

    LSD was a big cultural influence in the late 1960's. And some of the music during that time reflected that. But the term "acid blues" is a little harder to come to grips with since one of blues most endearing qualities for me is it's connection to reality!
