    Default RIP James Cotton

Another good man gone - yesterday at the age of 81. A great player, and a lovely man by all accounts.

Has enough time passed that we can admit that James Cotton was never very good?

RIP James Cotton. I first saw him in February (or thereabouts) of 1971 in St. John's, Newfoundland. I believe Rory Gallagher may have been on the same bill. I saw James Cotton again maybe ten years ago at the Labatt Blues Festival in Edmonton, Alberta. I believe Hubert Sumlin played that night as well. Everything runs together sometimes it seems, lol.
